The Bossa Nova Story - as played and sung out in this 3-CD collection, is the convergence of four disparately yet deeply talented individuals: Antonio Carlos Jobim, the supreme melodist; João Gilberto, Jobim's greatest instrumental interpreter; Astrud Gilberto, João's wife, whose singing made both men known outside Brazil; and Stan Getz, whose playing made them all welcome in the jazz world.
